CRAVEB (Research Consortium for the Application and Promotion of Biofuels) is a research consortium composed by:

  1. Parthenope University of Naples;
  2. Tor Vergata University of Rome;
  3. Cooperative 2010 ARCA A R. L.

The Consortium has the following aims:

  • promote and develop training activities, industrial and scientific research with particular focus on energy, environment, transport, fuels and biofuels;
  • support interaction among universities, national and international research institutions and public and private organizations;
  • provide goods and consulting services to partners and third parties according to the aim of the Consortium;
  • carry out training activities in order to offer a professional formation within the advanced technological sector;
  • organize conferences, meetings, lectures and discussions in the field of competence of the Consortium;
  • hold and/or collaborate in the development and management of formation courses, both at university level, postgraduate level and "Continuing Education". The courses can be arranged jointly with partner universities, but also in collaboration with other Italian and foreign universities or with public and private institutions;
  • stimulate local government as well as local industrial and agricultural enterprises to the development of strategies and technology advances for energy efficiency and savings. In particular, the Consortium is able to evaluate the environmental and economic feasibility of specific management strategies in different fields of application;
  • promote sustainable technologies for energy efficiency, smart mobility, and biofuels use within public institutions, public transport companies, local authorities and public institutions (universities, schools, community, etc.);
  • produce and divulge reports, documents and guidelines regarding the application of technologies for energy efficiency, sustainable mobility and sustainable environment.

Pannon Gazdasagi Halozat Egyesuelet (PBN)

Pannon Business Network Association (PBN) was founded as an NGO in 2006, with the participation of the regional Clusters and Industrial Parks.

As a leading public economic development organization in the West Pannon region we are supporting the Hungarian national and regional goals like the creation of new jobs and improvement of competitiveness with complex and integrated programs.

PBN maintains close cooperation with regional and international economic, industrial institutions. Basic purpose of it is to strengthen the internationalization activities of local small and medium-sized business sector.

Activities are strongly enabled by European Union funds, having realized over 30 international projects with more than 300 European partners.

Thematic activities are:

  • SME support (benchmarking, auditing, innovation voucher, business meetings);
  • industry-specific actions (cluster strategic management for the Thermal and for the Mechatronics, partnership with the Wood and Furniture);
  • planning services (Territorial Operative Program, further EU-programming).

Currently, as a contracted strategic partner of regional government, PBN is coordinating the planning and distribution of structural funds for 2014-2020 of our region.

PBN is also active in preparing country reports, case studies, feasibility studies of public money investments of Hungary, market researches focusing on SME competitiveness.

StadtLABOR Graz

The City Lab (StadtLABOR Graz) is a research and innovation platform for issues relating to urban quality of life. We are interested in the diverse technical, planning, economic and social challenges of a sustainable city („Smart City“). We are convinced that a city with the highest quality of life requires social innovation and mutual learning and identification processes in addition to technological progress. As City Lab we create consciously potential spaces for ideas and literal thinking. With our work we promote an interdisciplinary, open, creative and critical discourse between stakeholders from business, public administration, science and research as well as citizens and civil society. As project developer in an urban environment we collaborate with various disciplines (architecture, urban and regional planning, real estate development, energy planning, urban sociology, creative scene,…). Our goal is to bring the conceptual approaches and innovations of „smart“ cities on the ground and to increase the quality of life in neighbourhoods, city districts and city regions together with the people concernced.

NHL Hogeschool

NHL University of applied sciences is a medium-sized institution for higher education learning located in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. NHL has approximately 11,000 students, and around 18 research groups, that together contribute to the realization of a smart, sustainable and inclusive region through cross-sectoral multidisciplinary innovation research.

The NHL has four institutes:

  • Institute of Healthcare and Welfare
  • Institute of Technology
  • Institute of Education and Communication
  • Institute for Business and Management Studies

Together the institutes offer about 70 Bachelor’s degree programmes and several masters degree programmes. The NHL offers a wide range of study programmes in a variety of fields, varying from Computer and Multimedia Design to Mechanical Engineering to Business and IT Management.

The main research group involved in this project is the Lectoraat (Professorship) Open Innovation, which is the coordinating research group of the NHL. The central focus point of the Open Innovation research group is focussed on the way that multidisciplinary, cross-sectoral innovation processes take place. One of the issues that the researchers are working on is the question how non-designers can be effectively involved in design and innovation processes, specifically looking to the way that these multi-actor networks can contribute to the solving of complex societal challenges.
